How To Travel To Tahiti

It's easy reaching your Tahitian adventure in paradise... and it's all in the details.

Te Mana Travels offers full service travel booking including international airline reservations, inter-island travel options, resort and guest house bookings, and our choice of the best “off the beaten path” tours in the islands. For our catamaran charter clients, we are here to help plan your pre and post charter experience in paradise.

The Essentials

  • International Airlines Flying from North America to Tahiti (Papeete’s Faa’a Airport)

Non-stop flights to Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) are available from Los Angeles (LAX) on Air Tahiti Nui and Air France. Non-stop flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) are available on French Bee and United Airlines. Weekly flights are available on Alaskan Airlines.

    Airlines include:

Once you have arrived in Tahiti, inter-island air travel is simple and easy. There are numerous daily flights to the majority of islands throughout French Polynesia using Air Tahiti or Air Moana. Reservations for the inner islands flights are best made in advance, and Te Mana Travels is here to do this for  you.

  • We suggest bringing a credit card and a debit card. Local ATM machines at the airport and on the islands will be available to withdraw in the local currency (Pacific Franc). We suggest using the ATMs instead of exchanging money at local banks. The banks tend to be crowded and can be quite time consuming for the simple task of exchanging money. You can check the XE Live Exchange Rate by clicking here.

Please note:  Prices are higher in French Polynesia and choices are more limited than in North America. We highly recommend packing from our recommended Packing List prior to your arrival.

  • We take your safety very seriously.

You can always reach out to Te Mana Travels (USA #) at (920) 509-2285 or (French Polynesia #) at (001) 689 87 00 20 17. One of our staff members will be monitoring these numbers for emergencies, so please leave a detailed message if calling after hours.

Please advise family members that this number is only for true emergencies.  Each itinerary will also have emergency contact numbers based on the specific itinerary.

We wish you safe and happy travels and look forward to providing you with the adventure of a lifetime soon!
